Transform everyday processes, such as sending SMS messages, into automated workflows without writing a single line of code.
Dialpad is an approved Slack Workflow connector. Meaning, users can use the Dialpad integration inside Workflow Builder to automate sending SMS messages via their Slack workspace.
Examples:
This connector sends a message from Dialpad to your customers, or other Dialpad users, when it’s triggered in Slack. You can use this to schedule notifications, update your customers of a change in the lifecycle of a deal, a change in a work item, notify of a new lead, an incoming email, or a trigger from a third party connector.
Slack Workflows also support generic webhook functionality. This can be used to connect Dialpad Call/SMS events to Slack. More information about event subscriptions can be found here.
Instructions on set up & how to use it
Navigate to Slack > Automations > Create Workflow
Select how you want the workflow to begin
Add Dialpad Send SMS from the right side Steps menu
Authorize Slack to use your Dialpad account
Configure the required parameters
Note: Sending number needs to be a Dialpad number tied to your personal account, or a shared line that has SMS enabled and that your user has access to such as a call center line or a department line. Receiving Numbers can be external or internal to Dialpad. Multiple receiving numbers will result in a Group Message, not a message to multiple numbers. All numbers must be e164 formatted.
